On March 3, Bulgaria celebrates its National Holiday — a day associated with the Liberation of the country and the memory of one of the most important events in Bulgarian history.
Volunteers of the BRCK Association, who work on the E-volution Media project, covered the festive events in Veliko Tarnovo and prepared a video dedicated to the atmosphere, people and meaning of this day. The historic city gathered residents and guests who joined the celebrations and paid tribute to Bulgarian history, traditions and cultural memory.
As part of the events, the volunteers were also invited to a conversation with the mayor of Veliko Tarnovo. In the interview, they talked with him about the meaning of March 3, the importance of historical memory and the role of young people in preserving cultural heritage.
For the international volunteers, it was an opportunity to touch Bulgarian history up close — not only through the official program, but also through meetings with the people, institutions and the lively atmosphere of the celebration.
