Association BRCK – “Dream of Romance, Flowers and Space” has launched a new solidarity project “Mindya Post Reunion”, funded under the “European Solidarity Corps” program. The project will be implemented within 12 months and will unite young people from Veliko Tarnovo, the village of Mindya and the region around the idea of active participation in the local community, cultural life and the creation of sustainable youth initiatives.
“Mindya Post Reunion” continues the already started relationship between young people, volunteers, the community center and the local community in the village of Mindya. The basis of the project is the desire to preserve and share local stories, to encourage the participation of young people in the life of the village and to create useful results that will remain after the end of the project.
One of the main activities will be the publication of the monthly local newspaper “Mindya Post”. Through it, young participants will collect stories, news, memories, interviews and information about cultural and public events in Mindya and the region. The newspaper will be a space for meetings between generations, for preserving local memory and for presenting life in the village through the eyes of the people who created it.
A website dedicated to Mindya, the local community and the project activities will also be created within the project. It will present publications, photos, news, materials from the newspaper and information about the initiatives that will be implemented during the year.
The project also envisages the participation of young people in cultural events organized jointly with the local community center. In this way, the initiative will support the already existing cultural life in the village and will give young people the opportunity to get involved in the preparation, coverage and promotion of local holidays, meetings and events.
In addition to media and cultural activities, Mindya Post Reunion will also include light outdoor activities related to improving the community environment. These include the production of wooden tables and chairs, the improvement of meeting spaces and the creation of small practical solutions that will be useful for the people in the village.
The project focuses on solidarity, volunteering, intercultural communication and active participation of young people. Through collaboration, creativity and sharing local stories, participants will have the opportunity to develop new skills, get to know the community better and contribute to its development.
Mindya Post Reunion is another step towards building a more vibrant, connected and active local community, in which young people have a place, a voice and the opportunity to create change.
